jq Version

jq101 currently runs jq 1.8.2 via WebAssembly.

Supported Flags

  • -r / --raw-output: Supported. Outputs raw strings instead of JSON texts.
  • -c / --compact-output: Supported.
  • -n / --null-input: Supported. Does not read input.
  • -R / --raw-input: Partially supported via raw whole text (-R -s).
  • -s / --slurp: Supported.
  • -S / --sort-keys: Supported.
  • -e / --exit-status: Supported.

Known Gaps

The underlying `jq-wasm` bridge applies `.trim()` to stdout and stderr, meaning trailing/leading whitespace and final newlines might be lost. Memory bounds and capture limits are currently post-run UI protections, not strict sandbox constraints.
